Platform Update Notice

We are currently updating the NbS case study platform to share examples of nature-based solutions across broader biocultural contexts, with richer information on their governance and social outcomes. Please feel free to explore the platform in the meantime, bearing in mind that some case study pages require maintenance.

We welcome any feedback for how this platform could be improved, as well as recommendations for new case studies. Please submit any suggestions via this form: NbSI Case Study Platform: Feedback & Submissions.

Rural NbS

This is an interactive map of examples of Nature-based Solutions around the globe showcasing how working with nature can benefit biodiversity and people locally, while also addressing climate change.

Use the platform to explore NbS cases and see their effectiveness for addressing climate mitigation and adaptation, while delivering positive ecosystem health and socioeconomic outcomes. Information on case study governance, finance, monitoring and evaluation, and trade-offs and limitations is also available.

Use the search bar to search for keywords, or use the filters to filter by country, ecosystem type, the type of climate change impact addressed, and much more.

Take a look at our 'model cases' to take a deeper dive into cases with richer evidence of positive outcomes for people and nature.
